Industrial Maribor
Industrial Maribor service is designed as a tourist guide to three industrial areas of Maribor, namely Melj, Tezno and Studenci. At individual points it stops and takes a look at a certain industrial and technical heritage, and the route between the individual points runs with the transportation included.
The tour lasts 5 hours and is performed three times a month, usually between 10am and 3pm.
It is performed as a visit to three points, namely Melj - driving from the train station along Mlje to Drava, walking to the dam with an industry tour, driving to Tez and viewing the tunnels under the former TAM factory, and past Metalka to Studence with a visit to the railway colony, station , The Southern Railway Central Workshops, the Kibla Portal, and the closing at the Workers' Luncheon at Monica.
Leadership is interactive, incorporates various techniques of heritage interpretation, with an emphasis on storytelling. The focus of management is the industrial heritage of the city, which represents its identity.
Visitors get acquainted with the industrial areas of Maribor, the reasons for the development of the industry, the types of industrial plants, the technical heritage and the stories related to all of the above.
